Our in-depth analysis of the knowledge economy includes sector studies. For example, we have completed sector studies for Belfast City Council on the economic roles of higher education and business services. In addition to looking at market and industry trends, this research was based on interviews with the City’s HE providers, including Ulster and Queen's University, and a cross-section of business services companies, from the software, management consultancy, architecture and urban design and legal services sectors. The results are being used to support the City’s economic development strategy and business support programmes. |
