Client testimonial"We have been working with Geoeconomics on benchmarking the current and future economic performance of the Hull and Humber Ports City Region, as part of our EC Article 6 Innovative Actions project with West Flanders. Geoeconomics´ report has been extremely well received by partners in the City Region, and has encouraged us to look at sub-regional economic development in a fresh light. It is particularly timely and relevant as partners consider the options for Multi Area Agreements. We have been very impressed with Geoeconomics´ partnering approach to working with our team." | Geoeconomics was appointed by the Humber Economic Partnership (HEP) to produce a 'toolkit' for monitoring long-term economic development and change. The 'toolkit' is a major input into an EC Innovative Actions project, a collaboration between HEP and the Belgian city-region of Zeebrugge, West Flanders. | The first phase of this work established baselines for the HEP area and its local economies, using the Geoeconomics Economic Performance Review. The second phase involved identifying appropriate UK and EU city-regions for benchmarking the Humberside economy, and for creating future scenarios. | The project´s key findings on economic interdependencies between local authorities and on Humberside´s long-term prospects as a European city-region knowledge economy are especially timely, given the area´s interest in implementing a Multi Area Agreement. |
